Memphis Chapter of Jack and Jill

President's Message

Greetings Jack and Jill Mothers,

I am honored to serve as your president for the next two years.  I am eternally grateful to lead and serve the Memphis Chapter.  This is an especially exciting time for our chapter having our own Mother Gina Williams Jackson as our Southeastern Regional Director. We also have the honor of hosting the Super Cluster in the Spring. It is going to be a busy and exciting year.  We have a full calendar this year with planning and hosting the Super Cluster while executing our regular programming calendar.  As usual the mothers have planned excellent programming.  Our mothers have risen to the challenge of innovative programming ideas, strategic planning, and inclusive family activities that continue to strengthen our award-winning chapter.

Our service committee has done an outstanding job of planning excellent service projects for the year.  The projects are centered around supporting the Binghampton Christian School boarding students. We also have projects supporting the March of Dimes as well.  Additionally, we have many mothers from multiple committees coming together to work on our ACT Tutoring Sessions for underserved children in our target community as well as working on our Annual Black History Program.

My goal and hope for this year is to have every mother engaged in our wonderful organization and to have mothers get more involved on a regional and even national level.  We must take advantage of every opportunity to learn our organization. We need every mother helping to make all of our events successful. There is truly enough work to go around, and I would love to see all mothers contributing.

Your Executive Committee is here to serve you, and we want your feedback.  Although we will solicit your input on a regular basis, we welcome your ideas at any time. We are all equal members in this wonderful organization.

I look forward to working with each of you as we continue to develop our children as well as other children in our community.  We will work hard and play hard as we continue to strengthen our Memphis Chapter.   Mothers, I challenge you to make attending as many events as possible one of your goals. Please make sure your children are at their age group evens as well as chapter-wide events. You can’t appreciate the full value of Jack and Jill if you don’t participate, and I want every mother to feel the value.

For the Children,

Audrey M. Davis
President
