Memphis Chapter of Jack and Jill

Welcome Community Partners,

I am honored to serve as the Chapter President for this 2018-2019 biennium as I conclude my tenure in Jack and Jill of America, Inc. As the 10th Chapter Chartered in this phenomenal organization, Memphis has a longstanding tradition of providing excellent programs that support area youth and their families.  We are excited to invite the community to join us as we strive to serve our community.

Our chapter has planned a stellar program year that will Ignite, Inspire, and Impact Change for ALL Children.  We are poised “TO DO MORE” to elevate our community.

Mothers, you have risen to the challenge to plan innovative ideas through strategic planning that was both thoughtful and representative of the vast diversity of our membership.  Together we will deliver Embracing, Engaging, Enriching, and Empowering Programming For Our Children, Our Families, & Our Community; and strengthen the “Sister Mom” bond within our chapter through member-centered interactions and inclusive activities.  Early indicators show that we are off to a glorious start given the large number of Associates who reactivated their membership this year, as well as the record number of Mothers who attended the Chapter Retreat in August, Mother’s Workday in Atlanta, along with the phenomenal attendance by the community at our events including Santa Breakfast, the Black History Play, and Black Family Day.

The Program, Foundation, Health and Legislative Committees have aligned the chapters outreach efforts by fostering strategic and meaningful relationships that will result in support to both our national and local community partners that is measurable, sustainable, and transformational. Whether it’s the legislative endeavors that will address critical issues around poverty, juvenile justice, health disparities, and protecting and expanding The Power of The Vote with local high school students, the NAACP, and the NCRM; or it’s the upcoming Chapter Signature Events that will raise much needed resources to produce stellar programming and increase our philanthropic reach with the Vance Avenue Youth Development Center, the Binghamton Children’s Home, Common Table Health Alliance, Memphis Challenge, our local charities; as well as increase donations to the Jack and Jill Foundation, the March of Dimes, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Children’s Defense Fund, our national charities.

Our upcoming Black History Trip, STEAM Fair, and our National Black Family Day Economic Empowerment Series, and the Tennis and Golf Challenge are the crown jewels of the program year. Memphis’ standing as an award winning “powerhouse chapter” locally, regionally, and nationally, is secure through the enhanced participation and engagement of our chapter’s children, teens, Mother Members, Fathers, and Associates.

Our Chapter Members are here to serve you, and we welcome your active participation and support of our efforts.  “Let’s Work, Let’s Play. Let’s Live Together” to DO MORE for our Children, Our Families, and Our Community.  God Bless.

For All Of Our Children,

Vanecia Belser Kimbrow, Esq.
